Adrienne Ames, born Ruth Adrienne McClure (August 3, 1907 - May 31 July 31, 1947) was an American actress. Adrienne Trux, her stage name was used early in career. She got married three times. In 1920, while still young Ames was married Derward Dumont Truax. He was the son of an oil businessman. The couple had a child and split in 1924. A later marriage to agent Stephen Ames ended in divorce on October 30, 1933.Her last marriage, on October 31 of 1933, was with fellow actor Bruce Cabot; they divorced on the 24th of July, 1935. Ames died of cancer on May 31, 1947, at New York City, aged 39 years old. She was interred in Oakwood Cemetery at her native Fort Worth.
